Mister Migs LLC Announces Celebrity Emcee for “Denim Dogs Fashion Blast 2015”
John Lemley, Popular Atlanta Radio Personality and Host of WMLB’s “City Café,” Joins Event
TUCKER GA (21 July 2015) – Mister Migs LLC, a Georgia non-profit organization that designs and produces high-quality couture dog wear and gear while providing employment opportunities for marginalized young adults, announced today that Atlanta radio personality John Lemley will host its first annual “Denim Dogs Fashion Blast 2015” fundraiser, scheduled for Saturday, 7 November 2015 at Ambient + Studio.
Lemley is the host and producer of “John Lemley’s City Café” on Atlanta’s AM 1690 WMLB, “The Voice of the Arts.” From 1997-2015, John was an on-air host and producer at 90.1 WABE, Atlanta’s NPR station where he created and hosted numerous news and music programs, including “Daytime,” “Aubade,” “Tapestry,” “The Stargazer’s Journal,” “Bach’s Lunch” and “All Things Considered.”
“John’s positive energy and love of dogs make him a perfect choice for our event,” stated Karen Lynn, founder and president of WOW In-Sync, Mister Migs’s parent organization. “As one of Atlanta’s most popular radio personalities, as well as a well-respected member of the arts community, he will be a wonderful addition to our event team, and we are grateful for his support of our mission.”
The ticketed event will be a celebration of the wonderful world of dogs, starring working canines from show dogs to community heroes. The main portion of the evening’s entertainment will be the runway fashion show, spotlighting couture canine designs from Mister Migs’s debut collection, modeled by local celebrity dogs accompanied by Atlanta runway models. Proceeds from the event will benefit the organization’s mission to provide real-world job experience to young adults, many of whom have developmental disabilities and autism.
“I am honored and excited to be part of this great event,” said Lemley. “The Mister Migs’s fashions and accessories are such fun, and I can hardly wait to see what’s in store for the new collection. I hope all my friends and followers will make it down to Denim Dogs Fashion Blast 2015, and help me make the evening a success for this great organization.”
